Software development of microservices for a platform in the logistics industry.
I worked on migrating the infrastructure of tui.com to the AWS Cloud. Using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation, we developed modern infrastructure. I migrated microservices and microfrontends to AWS EKS and ECS, optimized them with AWS Lambda, and developed new services in Go, Node.js, and Java. By closely collaborating with the DevOps team, we created forward-thinking, flexible solutions.
As the leader of a development team composed of internal developers and working students, along with collaboration with external partners and DevOps, I was responsible for the advancement of our software architecture within the AWS ecosystem. I successfully transformed our architecture from monoliths to microservices and implemented core functions as FaaS using the Serverless Framework and AWS Lambda.
I designed and developed a microservice architecture for a practice and calendar management app using Spring Boot and Java 8, while migrating existing features to the new architecture and connecting backend services to an Angular frontend. Additionally, I built the search functionality for arzttermine.de and created REST APIs with Serverless, AWS API Gateway, and AWS Lambda. The application was successfully integrated with Salesforce, Twilio and Stripe, supported by DevOps practices.
I developed high-load web applications and designed and implemented new backend features, optimizing existing functions for efficiency and performance. I independently led sub-projects, working with Java 8, Spring Boot, Python, and Node.js, and built a service architecture for video rendering using AWS SWF. Additionally, I integrated payment providers such as Payone and PayPal.
I designed, programmed, and ensured the quality of software systems for auditing procedures, adapted functions in PL/SQL, and developed new features with JavaFX. Additionally, I conducted manual testing and optimized web components for accessibility to enhance the user experience.
