At Retresco, I was instrumental in implementing Scrum as an agile framework. This allowed me to reveal existing team weaknesses and successfully initiate a turnaround.
During the transition phase to a new Product Owner, I supported both the Engineering Manager and the team in efficiently eliminating technical debt. I assisted the new Product Owners in gaining a deep understanding of the product and processes and aligning the processes precisely with his requirements. Together, we established a sustainable roadmap process and developed it into a feature-shaping process. Thanks to these measures, we were able to implement a reliable scheduling system that led to the timely completion of 20 features within a year.
After these features went live, I supported the Product Owner and Engineering Manager in designing a new product - GPT-based rewrite. Within just three weeks, we finalized a concept for an MVP, which then went live after just another six weeks.
The departure of the Product Owner and the Senior Engineer, as well as the parental leave of the Engineering Manager within a short period, required my leadership skills to guide the team through a complex transition phase, based on the principles of Servant Leadership.
Additionally, I successfully guided another team at Retresco from a project-oriented to a product-oriented way of working. Here too, it became apparent that existing dysfunctions necessitated reorganization, with my coaching being crucial to the realignment.
